Children’s Ministry at St John’s

At St John’s we believe children are an important part of our Church, and therefore our ministry. Junior Johns was set up to deliver a Bible-teaching programme for any child who comes to St John’s church.

JJs (Junior Johns) meets every Sunday during the 10.15am service. They start off in the church service and then go downstairs to meet in two separate groups for age-appropriate teaching from the Bible. The teaching is relevant to the children and seeks to apply the Bible to their daily lives. A dedicated team of volunteers (all CRB checked) lead the JJs meetings.

On the second Sunday of every month the children participate in the Family Eucharist by either reading, praying, acting or singing. There are always Krispy Kreme doughnuts after these services too!

The JJs also occasionally go on outings together. They recently enjoyed their very own guided tour of the British Museum.

All children are welcome at St John’s.
