* From Sunday 21st June St John’s is open for private prayer at the
Sunday: 10:00 – 10:45 (over 70s)
10:45 – 11:45 (all welcome)
Wednesday 6-7pm (all welcome)
Last week was a great success, and it was a joy to see so many familiar
faces after so long!
It should be emphasised until further notice, the diocese is encouraging
everyone to primarily make use of the online provision for worship. Our
opening for private prayer is a working experiment at present, but due to
feedback, we have divided up the Sunday morning slot, as above.
Although we won’t turn people away, if you are under 70 and able to attend
from 10.45 onwards, leaving the first 3/4 hr for those over 70 who strongly
wish to attend, we would really appreciate you doing this.
The government guidance states: *Certain groups of people may be at
increased risk of severe disease from COVID-19, including people who are
aged 70 or older, regardless of medical conditions. Individuals who fall
within this group are advised to stay at home. *We entirely understand if
people are still shielding and do not feel able to attend.
Reopening for Public Worship*

worship to begin to reopen. We are awaiting further details as to regards
safety, social distancing and music. When these have been provided, and the
Church Committee and PCC have been able to digest and implement them, we
shall be able to have a better idea as to when we shall be able to safely
I look forward to writing to you tomorrow.
With kind regards,
