*Next Month*

Pending coming guidance on social distancing and singing from the Church of
England, for discussion of these by the St John’s Committee, and a due risk
assessment, I cautiously hope to reopen in late March. Watch this space…

*Our Survey Says…
Gill Frigerio (Associate Professor, University of Warwick) is looking to
interview lay Anglican women aged 35-55 (ish) working in secular contexts
and willing to be interviewed by her online about their working life and
faith. She is particularly interested in speaking to those from a UKME
(United Kingdom Minority Ethnic) background. If you’re interested in
finding out more, please drop her a line, here

*Last year the University of York St John surveyed 7,000 churchgoers as to
their reaction to the pandemic. It looks like the Powers That Be in the
Church of England are paying great attention to the results found last year
– so please can I encourage you to fill in the latest survey on the topic,
here .

*Traditional Worship*

I like to think that a visitor to face to face worship in St John’s might
think that the worship that we offer was traditional, but also done in a
way that was both friendly and welcoming. The Church of England commented
on the rise of people seeking out traditional worship (such as we offer
online) last week, here
This was also commented on in the Telegraph, here

*Evensong – Next Month

*I’m sure I wasn’t alone in enjoying Choral Evensong (with the Seraphim
Consort) for the Feast of St Valentine earlier this month. Rob and I are
looking at the finances to see if we might be able to do something similar
for Holy Week/Easter. If this is something you would enjoy listening to –
and perhaps support – do let us know!

*Catch Up Cards

*I think about half the electoral roll should have by now received a
postcard from me, with more still to arrive over the next few weeks. Keep a
look out for a colourful envelope and purple writing!

With kind regards,
