The Ninth Sunday after Trinity Service
Date: August 9, 2020
Our services for tomorrow can be found here:
The order of service can be found here: Trinity 9 Online.pdf
We shall have our service of Holy Communion in church tomorrow at 10:15am.
(After our brief experiment with using the *Book of Common Prayer* last
week, we have now returned to our customary order of service at 10:15). At
the moment we are not allowed hymns, but we shall have some pieces offered
on the organ. We shall return to offering both our 8:30 and 10:15 services
*Reopening the Church
*For those who weren’t able to be with us last week, my sermon on reopening
the church can be found here.
*We continue to keep the church open from 6-7pm on Wednesday evening, which
I particularly commend to those who are looking for some stillness amidst
the ups and down of the present moment.
*Bishop’s Certificate of Discipleship
* There are still have a few places on Southwark Diocese’s popular
ten-month course that looks at the Bible, what it means to be a Anglican,
and living as a Christian in everyday life. It begins in late September
on Zoom. It will move into venues in Battersea, Croydon and Trinity House
when it’s safe to do so in 2021. You can find more information and all
the dates on the Southwark Diocese website
(My wife Rosie took the course last year, and strongly commends it!)
With kind regards,
