Queen Anne Revival House presentation will be held on Saturday 10th & 17th November at 29 Murray Road, London SW19 4PD, hosted by Margaret Smart. Please come along at 10.30 for coffee the talk will begin at 11.00 lasts for about an hour. Do bring your partner or friends if you would like but please RSVP if you are coming, with the preferred date. ‘Whist with a Twist’ – Night Shelter fundraiser in our Community Hall. Sat 24th Nov, 6pm.  Dinner included, a suggested donation of £15 Adults, £10 children.  No need for a whist partner, so perfect whether you are living alone or inundated with family.  If you have a basic understanding of whist (or any card game really) this will be the night for you – it’s fun, sociable and raises money for a great local cause.  Please see Jane Long if you want to know more.

Faith in Action – Urgently needs men’s clothes. If you are having a clean out of your cupboards, they are looking for casual clothes, jeans, polo shirts, T-shirts, jumpers, jackets, anything that would be good for layering as the weather gets colder.   If you bring clothes to St John’s, Jane Long or May Nicholl will take them to FIA.

Wimbledon Food Bank: Please see the Thank you letter on the notice board. All contributions have been greatly appreciated and they continue to help to support families in crisis. Please continue to donate when you can.

Merton Night Shelter.  If anyone is interested in helping with the Night shelter, which runs at St Mark’s on Saturday nights from the beginning of December until the end of January, please could you contact Jane Long, email jane.long@me.com.  Most people sign up for one or two slots, so it’s not onerous, either catering for/manning the shelter.  If you haven’t been before, there is a training session on Sunday 18th Nov 3-5pm at the YMCA in Wimbledon which you need to attend. We really need extra help with the breakfast shift, which is quiet and easy, but starts at 6.30am on Sundays, and also with cooking – which involves pre-cooking part of the meal whenever you want and dropping it into the hall at about 7pm on Saturday.

JJs/Sunday School We have a thriving creche and Sunday School (JJs) and would really appreciate some more volunteers to help with leading the Sunday school group for the 6-12 year age range.  Please contact Rachel or Angelina Bulmer if you can offer help for this vital part of the junior church.
