Team Prayers at St Mark’s on Thursday 12th July at 1.00pm.
Lunchtime Recital will be on Friday 27th July at 1pm. Do come along to see Stuart Raeburn Tenor and David Elwin Piano, English Song. Coffee and cake available before the recital from 12:30pm. There will be a retiring collection.
Prudential RideLondon on Sunday 29th July. Please be aware of road closures. There will be no access on Worple Road or Wimbledon Hill during this time. Please see attached link giving you further information.
St John’s Choir Scholarship We would like to thank those who have kindly donated towards the Choral Scholarship Fund. There is still £3,000 to raise before September to enable the four choral scholars. If anyone else would like to make a donation, no matter how big or small, please speak to Rob or Bruce. It would be greatly appreciated.
St. John’s Coffee Team would be very grateful for a couple of trays.To help us become more environment friendly we are going to use real cups instead of plastic/paper ones. The trays would be very useful in transporting the cups to the dishwasher in the PDR. If you have a spare tray please bring along next week!! Thank you.
Christian Aid 2018 We are pleased to report that St Johns raised £2,137 for Christian Aid this year. After the tax relief from Gift Aid the total was £2,492. Although the total was lower than in 2017, it compared favourably with the average for the past five years. We would like to thank our street reps and all those who generously donated.
Going Shopping? Please remember the Wimbledon Foodbank. They urgently need longlife milk, rice, pasta, squash, tinned peas and carrots, soap powder and SMA baby milk. Please leave any donations at the back of the Church. Thank you.
Church of England Children’s Society The good news is we now have 6 new Box Holders making a current total of 31 Box Holders of which 28 are signed up for Gift Aid.
