Join us at 7:30pm for a special Palm Sunday performance of John Stainer’s Crucifixation. Modelled on the great passion settings of J.S. Bach, the piece combines recitatives, solos, and masterful choruses that range from the graphic mob shouts of Crucify Him to the ethereally beautiful meditation at the work’s centrepiece God so loved the world.

There will be a retiring collection after the performance.

If you would like to Come & Sing with the choir, please reserve your place before 12 March by emailing Robert at music@stjohnswimbledon.co.uk. £10 joining fee, additional donations welcome. Rehearsals will take place 7:30-9:00pm on Wednesday 14 March & 5:00pm on Sunday 25 March.
We will be using the Novello edition, available from www.musicroom.com
