Safeguarding
Safeguarding at St John’s
At St John the Baptist, Wimbledon, we are committed to the safeguarding, care and nurture of children, young people and adults. We seek to make St John’s a safe and welcoming place for all who worship, visit, volunteer, work or take part in the life of the church.
We take all safeguarding concerns seriously and are committed to responding promptly, sensitively and appropriately, in accordance with Church of England safeguarding policies and procedures.
Reporting a safeguarding concern
If someone is in immediate danger, please call 999.
If you have a safeguarding concern about a child or adult, including concerns about someone attending the church or holding a position of responsibility, please contact our Parish Safeguarding Officer:

You do not need to be certain that abuse or neglect has occurred before raising a concern.
If you would prefer not to contact the Parish Safeguarding Officer, or if your concern involves someone in a position of responsibility within the church, you may contact the Diocese of Southwark Safeguarding Team directly.
