Financing our ministry, the day-to-day work of the church and the maintenance of St John’s is dependent upon the giving of the church’s family and friends and, in a church like St John’s, every contribution makes a significant difference. It costs us over £3,000 each week to keep St John’s running.
If you are in a position to offer a contribution to St John’s, there are three options available:
1. Standing Order. These are particularly helpful as they enable us to budget effectively. They can be set up directly by you with your bank or you can put your instructions in writing and we can communicate with your bank.
2. Weekly envelope scheme.
3. Single contribution by cheque payable to ‘St John the Baptist, Wimbledon’ or by bank transfer.
Please contact Rachel our administrator for assistance with bank details or forms to fill on. Only our administrator and our treasurer have access to the detail of each individual’s gifts.
If you pay UK income tax, whether on earned income, investment income or your pension, please complete a Gift Aid Declaration form.
This will enable us to reclaim income tax from the Inland Revenue on any donation you have made to St John’s during the past four years, and any future donations you make, until you tell us otherwise.
