Academy Choir – An evening of Summer Baroque

The programme for this concert comprises a first half of nothing but Purcell (two of his verse anthems (Rejoice in the Lord alway and My beloved spake) with his Coronation anthem (My heart is inditing) interspersed with his Chacony in G Minor and Rondeau from Abdelazer.

The second half will feature two JS Bach motets (Komm, Jesu, Komm and Lobet den Herrn) with Handel’s Water Music suite No 1 in F.
